The Project
A series of play animals that were created as a result of a research process in textile hardening. the project studied the relations of elements placed on a balloon and the influence by the air movement inside it.
The toy structure holds a variety of textures and feelings, with soft areas and hard pieces, hidden moving parts to solid static ones. Boop invites a dynamic play of discovery between the child and the toy.
The Process
Boop started as an independent research project in the field of textiles. The nature of the research was into creating 3d objects with textiles. One of the test models involving balloons led to the design featured.
The final result is a dynamic toy with a variety of textures and different levels of feedback throughout the play experience.
